WE'RE PLAYING CREATION!! Because of your faithful votes and consistent support of the band, we are one of three bands selected to play at this megamusic festival! The whole band is floored and excited at the opportunity and we will do our best to represent you well. Truly truly truly, this is really a TEAM victory. Without you, this wouldn't have happened... We're glad to be a part of the JRB family with you!
You can check out the winners at HERE. Also, the competition actually doesn't end here. We'll be participating in a Battle of the Bands at Creation Festival Friday Night June 30th along with 2 amazing bands (including our good friend and future tour mate Koo Chung). The winner is determined by Audience Applause and gets to open up the Fringe Stage the next day.
We'd love to see you at Creation. Great bands and good times. You can get tix and more info at www.creationfest.com
As a sign of our affection and appreciation for our fans, we are going to be having a drawing where we'll be giving out a CD, 2 Tix to Creation Fest and an iPOD Nano. Our heart's desire is to just bless you guys/gals for being willing to go on that (sometimes confusing) website to vote each day. Our way of saying THANK YOU.
To enter the drawing be sure to sign up on our JRB Mailing List to your left. We'll announce a winner later next week.
In the mean time, check out some pictures from the Bolivian Benefit show:

New Seasons of Life
2005 was a good year. The JRB's highly anticpated debut album While I was on Earth was released and reached the walkman, cars, computers and ipods of many many fans. The band also found themselves on stage at the World Cafe Live and the Trocadero with some band called the Newsboys. All this to say that they're looking forward to what God has in store for them in 2006!
However, as the band continues to pursue the music industry with greater fervor than before, this will unfortunately mean some changes to the JRB.
Trina Bass will be leaving the band and her last show will be on January 14th, when we play with Starfield in Allentown, PA. Because of many other important commitments in her life, the band and her decided that it would be best for her to step down. Though this was difficult, we knew this was the right decision. She will be deeply missed.
The JRB will not try to replace Trina, for she is one of a kind. The band will continue making music and enter a new chapter in their history. We believe you'll enjoy what's to come...

August 29th, 2005 The band is enjoying some fruitfulness to their labors. Lately an underlying theme during weekly rehearsals has been to 'create and adjust'.
The jRB is busy crafting new songs that will showcase a new facet of the artists' creativity. John has been exploring the musical soundscape with an electric guitar - unlocking a world of new capabilities for the jRB sound.
Alongside their efforts to produce new music, the band is continually tightening up some of their older tunes. The songs are improving all the time. |

Over the last few months the band has played numerous shows at various colleges, coffeehouses and stages. It's been great to play shows more regularly now since we've locked in with our new drummer Kyle.
While not on the road, the band has been enjoying a new season of musical writing. Practices have become a wonderful time where new ideas are being formed and developed. We're excited about the future of the band and the creativity that each member is bringing to the table. To hear the sounds from the underground, check out when we're playing. It is getting better all the time. |

Jan 28th, 2005
On Jan 7th, 2005, over 400 people packed in to witness a night of music and the arts. Opening acts Koo Chung and Jinny Kim captivated the audience with a fresh inspiring performance. Following a slideshow of JRB history, we took the stage and played the most fun, exciting, and fulfilling show ever. This was a great way to Kick Off 2005. This year proves to be a monumental year in the history of the JRB.
In the next few months we'll be taking time to work with a new drummer to replace the amazingly talented Matthew Frank, who has heeded the call to better things in this life. Though this is a time of transition, we know this is for the best and we have no intentions of losing momentum. We've got tours lined up, radio play in the works, and even a new manager to help take the band to the next level. Keep your eyes open and your ears listening.
Finally, THANK YOU to all who made the "While I was on Earth" CD Release a Success. Check out pictures from the show (courtesy of superfan Gus Anderson)

Love & Marriage, they go together like a....
Can You Believe It?????
Hot off the Press:
4 of the JRB members have gotten engaged! No, not ALL to each other.
DanYan Huie and Noele Parris (the two violinists) have decided to harmonize...forever and ever and ever. Congratulations you two. I love you both dearly.
Bassist, Matthew Bomberger recently proposed to Katy Bockstanz- in a park, on a blanket, with a guitar - making a lovely story. Congrats you two.
Drummer Matt Frank will soon have a Christine Frank at his side. It's been good to see you two together - it just makes a lot of sense. God bless! |
